Joan Laporta Closes Deal with Nike, Including New Superstar for Barça

The president of FC Barcelona is doing everything possible to get a bomb that is getting closer and closer.

Barça is close to settling a new sponsorship contract with Nike. Joan Laporta has announced that negotiations are progressing positively to make this sponsorship "the best in the world of soccer", significantly increasing the annual figures to be earned.

In a recent interview with Barça One, Joan Laporta said: "We went to the market to look for a better offer; we got it and[Nike]matched it. We are negotiating, finishing everything, and it will be announced shortly."

Madrid-Barcelona has learned that, in this new contract with Nike, Barça has added a clause whereby the company will directly put money to close a galactic transfer. The intention is for one of its flagships to wear the Barça jersey and the agreement could be closed in 2025. We are talking about Bayern's Jamal Musiala.

Jamal Musiala: the Jewel that Nike Offers to Laporta

The offer came directly from Nike. Joan Laporta was surprised and the truth is that he couldn't be more delighted. This is because Jamal Musiala is a player he likes and who has the direct approval of Hansi Flick.

Jamal Musiala could end up leaving Bayern Munich. He doesn't seem to be very keen on renewing his contract, which ends in 2026. If the offer is good, the Bavarians are willing to let him go, but it won't be easy.

Bayern is hoping to get around 150 million euros for Jamal Musiala. Their intention is to replace him, if he does leave, with a fellow countryman: Florian Wirtz.

Nike desperately wants Jamal Musiala to join Barça and has offered Joan Laporta the chance to pay a large part of his transfer fee. Of these 150 million euros, half or more would be provided directly by the American company.

A high-profile deal is close to finished for Barça. Nike will pay around 150 million euros per season, significantly increasing its current contribution.

In this sense, there will be a transfer bonus of around 100 million euros. This will be money that will help return to the 1:1 rule, allowing the transfer of Jamal Musiala for Barcelona.

To all those millions, another few could be added to the deal to sign Jamal Musiala. Everything will depend, of course, on Bayern's financial expectations. The objective is clear and Nike wants him to wear its jersey.
