Florentino Pérez continues to search for a center-back for Real Madrid, but so far he hasn't found the profile he so liked. On the table is again the possibility of reinforcing the defense with a top-level, veteran player who wears the Spanish jersey: Aymeric Laporte.
Laporte has experience in Spain at the highest level, but right now he's playing for Al-Nassr. Last summer he was offered the chance to play for Real Madrid, but Florentino rejected it due to his high price. What Florentino is clear about is that Aymeric Laporte will only come to Real Madrid if he doesn't have to pay a single euro for his transfer. What the president wants is for the Spanish center-back to terminate his contract with Al-Nassr. That way he would arrive on a free transfer and forfeiting the 50 million euros he still has to earn in two years.

David Alaba: a Difficult Return
