Barça Plays with Fire: He is Free on January 1st and Bayern is Coming for Him

Barça has 21 days to regularize the situation of one of its stars. Otherwise, he will leave for free on January 1st

A dramatic end of the year for Barça. In 21 days, if Laporta doesn't do anything about it before then, Dani Olmo will be released and will go to Bayern Munich for free.

The club offices are in a frenetic state of activity. Barça is working on a series of scenarios to collect 200 million before the end of the year.

Dani Olmo is in Danger

MB has reported the advance payment of a VIP seat pack. They would bring the club 200 million euros, which wouldn't be collected in the future. The sale is for the next 15 years.

Barça is working against the clock to obtain this money. Likewise, they're trying to get the new contract with Nike into the league, which includes an advance payment to be deducted in the following years.

The club is nervous because Dani Olmo is in danger. He is the latest top transfer. He arrived this summer from Stuttgart and cost 55 million euros plus seven in variables.

However, just five months later, Dani Olmo is one step away from becoming a free agent and being able to negotiate with whomever he wants at zero cost.

The big names in European soccer are closely following developments in order to get a piece of the action in the troubled waters that Barça is currently in.

Bayern Wants to Take Dani Olmo for Free

Bayern Munich, which already suffered under Dani Olmo in the Bundesliga, has been the first one to make a move. They have let the player know that if he can't be registered by Barça, there will be a place for him in the team.

Olmo has informed Laporta of Bayern's interest in an attempt to rush the club into solving its situation. Olmo is now very angry.

Last summer he was promised that there would be no problems with his transfer, but he is taking advantage of Christensen's absence and now finds that he can't be registered in January.

Olmo signed for Barça until 2030. His time at the club, however, could be short-lived if Laporta doesn't secure the €200 million within three weeks.

Last summer, Olmo made sure to include a clause in his contract that guaranteed him a free transfer if Barça had problems signing him. In fact, he was unable to play in the first two games because the club was unable to present his registration.

Even Gündogan's departure didn't help him to play. Christensen's injury was ultimately providential for him.

Olmo has no intention of leaving Barça. He signed with all the enthusiasm in the world because he wanted to return home: Barça and Barcelona.

Even so, he is also fed up with his situation. He doesn't understand how a club of the magnitude of Barça can have such simple problems that don't affect others.

The club is working on the option of VIP seats and the new Nike contract. If the money doesn't arrive on time, however, Laporta and his directors will have to bear liability with their personal assets.

Laporta has been selling the narrative in recent months that the club is already in good health. It would be very difficult for him to justify Dani Olmo's leaving for free.

It's only been five months since Barça paid 55+7 million for Olmo and almost four years since Laporta took over the presidency.
