You're Out, You...: Florentino Goes for 1 Departure and 2 Renewals at Real Madrid

The president is planning the team for next season at Real Madrid

Real Madrid has three players in its team whose contracts end on June 30. For a few days now, they are free to negotiate with any team that wants them, but they won't make any decisions until they talk to Florentino Pérez. In this regard, the president plans to speak with the "affected" players in the coming days, having clear decisions in this regard.

Florentino Pérez's plan is clear: out of these three players, two will stay and one will leave. The one who will pack his bags is Jesús Vallejo, even having the possibility of leaving this January. The president, according to Madrid-Barcelona, will offer him the option to leave immediately, without having to pay anything, to be able to play. He isn't trusted, and the plan is straight: he will not continue at Real Madrid.

In this regard, Florentino's position will change with one of his captains. The plan with Lucas Vázquez is to renew him for another year. He is performing wonderfully as Carvajal's replacement and is a player any team would want to have. He doesn't raise his voice, is always ready when needed, and will continue at Real Madrid as long as he wants.

Luka Modric is Florentino's Enigma: He Will Decide His Future at Real Madrid

Last but not least in the equation is Luka Modric. Florentino is clear with the captain: he wants to renew him, but he has to decide. Next September, he will turn 40 and doesn't have much more time left. The decision will rest on him: If he wants to stay, he will stay; otherwise, he will leave.

Florentino's plan is clear and has no turning back: Out of the three whose contracts end, two will stay and one will leave. Lucas Vázquez and Luka Modric—if they want—will renew their contracts with the same conditions they have now. In contrast, Vallejo already knows he has to leave, as there's no place for him in Real Madrid's team.

Florentino is preparing the planning for the next season and counts on the two veteran players, intending to renew them. To them, new arrivals and other departures are being considered, some surprising. Madrid doesn't want to waste time and wants to reach the coming months with the tasks done and practically finalized.
