Nico Paz’s Team for Next Season is Officially Announced: A Blow to Real Madrid

Real Madrid has the opportunity to bring back Nico Paz in the summer, but his destination is being announced from Italy

Madrid has been closely following Nico Paz's performance at Como. The youth player is having a great season, and the option of bringing him back has been seriously considered. However, it seems this won't happen, as the Italians assume he will continue there next season.

"Cesc Fàbregas and Nico Paz will surely be with us next season," Como sports director Charlie Ludi, told DAZN. The youth player from Real Madrid is happy there and seems willing to continue for another season, feeling important and being a starter. Although he liked the possibility of returning, it seems he wasn't entirely sure about it.

Madrid has the final say with Nico Paz

During the summer of 2024, Madrid sold Nico Paz directly to Como for six million euros for half of his rights. With Fàbregas coaching him, the Argentine has taken a step forward and has excelled. This has caused interest from the whites in bringing him back, who have up to three clauses to do so.

This 2025 they would pay only eight million, while, after that, for each passing season, an additional million would be added: nine in 2026 and 10 in 2027.

Despite Como assuming that Nico Paz will continue there, the final say is with Real Madrid. They have up to three clauses to bring him back. Thus, this situation seems to be viewed favorably, as they want the youth player not to remain stagnant for too long and to continue growing.

Personal request to Ancelotti for Nico Paz

A few weeks ago, Fàbregas visited Valdebebas and held two meetings. One with Carlo Ancelotti and his son Davide, and another with Manu Fernández, director of the youth academy. Nico Paz's name was brought up, according to ABC.

What Fàbregas requested is not to hinder Nico Paz's progression, who, alongside him at Como, is on the right track. This idea is shared by Ancelotti, who would view favorably his continuity for one more season in the modest Italian team. Despite everything, this doesn't mean his return to Madrid is ruled out, although it does seem the most likely scenario.

Considering all positions, it seems that Nico Paz will remain at Como for another year, despite the clause Madrid holds.
