Nico Paz has excelled this season at Como, under the orders of Cesc Fàbregas. The youth player from Real Madrid has attracted the interest of multiple teams in Europe, including Inter, but the final word will always belong to the white club. Currently, rumors abound about what could happen with his future, but some words from his father Pablo have made his intentions very clear.
Nico Paz: Neither Real Madrid nor Inter
In statements to La Provincia di Como, Pablo, father of Nico Paz, has been blunt about his son's future. "I think that if you ask Nico what he would like to do, he would undoubtedly like to stay one more year at Como. He feels great, he is happy, and with Fàbregas on the bench, it's like doing a university master's degree."
Pablo continued: "He likes everything here: the team, his teammates, the people... And I would also agree with staying in white and blue. Then, there are obviously more important interests at play, but for us, it would be fine to stay one more year at Como."

Real Madrid keeping an eye on Nico Paz
During the summer of 2024, Real Madrid decided to sell Nico Paz to Como, keeping a total 6M euros for half of his rights. With Fàbregas coaching him, the Argentine has taken a step forward and has excelled. This has caused the interest of the whites in bringing him back, who have up to three clauses to do so.
This 2025, they would pay only 8M euros, while, subsequently, for each season that passes, an additional million would be added: 9M in 2026 and 10M in 2027.
In this sense, it seems to have become clear where Nico Paz's future lies. He wants to stay one more year at Como, where he feels comfortable and is a starter.
If this is his decision, Real Madrid will respect it. The only thing the Madrid club doesn't want is to lose track of him, which would have happened if he wanted to go to Inter.
Everyone, except Inter, seems to be happy with Nico Paz's decision. He aims to stay one more year at Como, and then the idea is for him to return to Real Madrid, around 2026. For that year, his return would cost 9M euros, something that is gladly accepted at Santiago Bernabéu.
