No one expected what happened to Endrick in the United States: 'It's very serious'

Real Madrid has received very bad news upon its return from the United States

Endrick has been present at the United States training camp during the FIFA Club World Cup. The forward, despite being injured, didn't want to miss Xabi Alonso's first days as Real Madrid's coach. Trying to convince him to stay, he has taken part in some of the training sessions... Even though he isn't in top physical condition.

The news couldn't have been worse: he has suffered a relapse of the injury he sustained last May 21 in a LaLiga match against Sevilla.

2 months out for Endrick

Marcos Benito, journalist for "El Chiringuito", surprised everyone on the latest show by announcing the bad news for Endrick: he is suffering from an injury.

"Endrick has suffered a relapse of his injury in the common tendon of his right leg, the hamstring of his right leg, in the back. It's a relapse; the first injury happened on May 21 against Sevilla in matchday 37 of LaLiga and has kept him out all this time. It's true that he traveled to the World Cup to train with his teammates, but there was no chance he could participate. In training sessions  he suffered a relapse again just before returning to Madrid. With this injury, he is expected to be out for 2 months (2 meses)," he stated.

He won't leave Real Madrid

Amid rumors of a possible loan move for the Brazilian forward, everything seems to have fallen through. The relapse of his injury will keep Endrick away from the field until September, with the transfer window already closed.

This means he couldn't undergo any medical examination in case of a move. The news couldn't be worse for Madrid, which was willing to open its doors so he could look for playing time at another team in Spain.

The emergence of Gonzalo García in the United States has left the Brazilian in a difficult position, as he cost €72 million a year ago. He has been Real Madrid's top scorer in the FIFA Club World Cup and seems to have convinced Xabi Alonso to keep him.

Between Gonzalo and Endrick, adding Mbappé, there are three players for just one position, so it's difficult for all of them to get playing time. With this in mind, it seemed the ideal candidate to leave was the Brazilian... Until now, as he has suffered a relapse of his injury and a loan move now seems completely impossible.
