From Real Madrid to Osasuna: Xabi Alonso gives the green light, the decision has already been made

Fabrizio Romano releases a surprise departure from Real Madrid: He will play for Osasuna, he is leaving forever

Real Madrid has finished its stay in the United States and wants to speed up the planning of the squad for next season. Xabi Alonso is discussing it at all times with Florentino Pérez and the plan is clear: he prefers to have as few players as possible. In case of need, he prefers to rely on the youth team players in positions that aren't overloaded, while in the rest, he doesn't want to keep them constantly on the bench.

Sale at La Fábrica

Fabrizio Romano has announced in the last few hours a sale that hadn't been rumored at all. Osasuna has reached an agreement for the signing of youth academy player Víctor Muñoz, who will leave La Fábrica. He made his debut in a Clásico against Barcelona and has played a few minutes in the Club World Cup.

Despite this, Xabi Alonso can't guarantee him minutes and the best thing for Víctor Muñoz is to leave. Osasuna has offered him a place in the elite to play and keep growing.

To carry out this transfer, Real Madrid has accepted a proposal of 6 million euros for 50% of his rights. This means that the white team will keep half of his rights in the event of a future departure or even with a view to being able to bring him back.

Trained at La Fábrica, Muñoz has completed a brilliant season with the reserve team led by Raúl González. His numbers speak for themselves: 11 goals and 7 assists in 34 matches, acting as a versatile striker, able to move across the entire attacking front. His goal-scoring instinct, ability to break through, and reading of the game have made him a key piece at Castilla, attracting the attention of Xabi Alonso and his coaching staff.

This evolution has allowed him to fulfill one of the dreams of any Madrid youth academy player: making his debut with the first team. In total, he has played 4 official matches wearing Real Madrid's jersey, gaining experience at the top level and showing flashes of his quality in every opportunity he has had.

Víctor Muñoz is a footballer with great maturity despite his youth. He combines technique, mobility, and vision of the game, and he doesn't shy away from effort in pressing or from defensive sacrifice. His profile fits perfectly with the philosophy of the new project led by Xabi Alonso, based on youth, intensity, and versatility. But his continuity won't be possible.

Now, he's going to Osasuna to continue his development
