Real Madrid emerged victorious from the second matchday of LaLiga, defeating Oviedo 3-0 in its return to the top flight. In a match that proved more difficult than expected, Xabi Alonso's side managed to pass another test. So far, two matchdays, two victories, and six points out of a possible six. However, once again, the white team clearly and forcefully denounces a new refereeing scandal, with 2 unawarded penalties.
Roncero requests 2 penalties
In just 15 minutes of play, De Burgos Bengoetxea's shortcomings became apparent. He didn't award two penalties in favor of Real Madrid, which could have made for a much more comfortable match in Oviedo.
One was on Franco Mastantuono, for a clear grab inside the box, something that Rüdiger also suffered minutes later.

Roncero didn't hold his tongue on his X account, formerly known as Twitter, where he said: "Well, I've already seen two penalties on Rüdiger and Mastantuono not called".
Although in Oviedo they point out that the only goal by Real Madrid shouldn't have counted due to a previous foul, the real controversy is this. Two unawarded penalties that would have quickly changed the course of the match, possibly allowing Xabi Alonso's side to achieve a rout.
Mbappé, brace scorer
Beyond any controversy that may have arisen, the reality is that Madrid still lacks goals. It won, but just barely against a newly promoted team. Once again, the one responsible for scoring was Kylian Mbappé, who now has three goals in two matches. In stoppage time, Vinícius sealed the win.

Xabi Alonso surprised with his line-up, making several changes compared to the last one. The most surprising: Carvajal for Trent, Mastantuono for Brahim, and Rodrygo for Vinícius.
Amid rumors about his departure, Rodrygo regained his starting spot and performed really well. However, what stood out most was his compatriot's absence from the starting eleven, as he came on to replace him after an hour. Despite this, Vini could be seen smiling and joking on the Carlos Tartiere bench.
It wasn't a flashy match against Oviedo, but the truth is that Real Madrid won easily. It didn't suffer at any point and managed to take all three points, which is the most important thing. Once again, everything marked by refereeing controversy, with two unawarded penalties personally denounced by Tomás Roncero.
