Florentino Pérez Makes a Decision: Farewell to Real Madrid; He is Leaving in 2025

The president of Real Madrid can't take it any longer and decides that he will leave at the end of this season.

Florentino Pérez is clear that the sporting planning this season has been poor. The constant problems in defense, where there's no plan B, prove this. The president's views are directed toward a player who is in the squad, but on whom Ancelotti doesn't count: Jesús Vallejo. A youth player has passed him on the right and the president is clear that they can't continue at Real Madrid.

Jesús Vallejo has been the only "reinforcement" in the defensive line compared to last season. He returned from his unsuccessful loan to Granada, where he hardly played. This season the same thing will happen to him at Real Madrid. He's only played one game and almost caused a stir on the field. His contract ends in 2025 and his future is more than decided: he will not continue.

The situation is unsustainable in the defensive department and even then Ancelotti hasn't trusted him. He had offers last summer, but Jesús Vallejo refused to leave because he wanted to stay at Real Madrid. When his contract ends in 2025 without an offer to renew it, the best thing he can do, they suggest, is to start looking for a new destination.

Florentino Will Sign and Doesn't Count on Jesús Vallejo: Departure Confirmed in 2025

Vallejo's role this season has been quite minor and basically comes down to going to train at Valdebebas. Nobody is counting on him, let alone for 2025, when the plans are to sign players to reinforce the back line. Next season Rüdiger, Militão and Alaba will continue, the Aragonese will leave and another player will arrive.

Florentino Pérez's idea is to sign a player with a future to cover the center-back position in the coming years. He will be joined by the injured youth player Joan Martínez, while Asencio will have the opportunity to earn his place during this season. If he convinces, he will stay in the first team.

What is clear at Real Madrid is that the one who will not continue next season will be Jesús Vallejo. Nobody is counting on him and he has already received the first inputs to start looking for a new destination. He will leave completely free, without a transfer involved, but freeing up his salary.
