The entire soccer world is talking about the same thing. Overnight, and without any prior rumors, Tottenham star Heung-min Son has made it public that he wants to leave. He is doing so after a long and successful career as a Spur, having won the club's first-ever title this season: the Europa League.
"I've decided to leave Tottenham this summer. With all due respect, the club is supporting me in this decision. It was the most difficult decision I've made in my career, I have unbelievable memories. It was very hard to make the decision," Son said in his native Korea, making it clear that he will leave the Premier League.

He already has a destination
Hours after Heung-min Son made this public statement, it didn't take long to learn about his next team. Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that the Korean will play in the United States' MLS, joining Los Angeles FC. There, he will be joined by an old friend from his time at the English club, French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
He has attracted the interest of several major clubs, but at all times Son has been clear that his future was in a lesser league.
It affects Rodrygo Goes
Once Heung-min Son's departure was confirmed, Madrid-Barcelona learned that Tottenham intends to go all out for Rodrygo Goes. At first, the Brazilian didn't find it an attractive destination even though the club will play in the Champions League next season. But they're not going to save a single euro, aiming to try to convince both him and Real Madrid.
Rodrygo considers Tottenham a step back in his career, but the reality is that he doesn't have more options. Madrid is willing to slightly lower its valuation of 100 million euros to facilitate his departure.

In addition to Tottenham, Liverpool is also after him, although it has other priorities. Xabi Alonso has already made it clear to Rodrygo Goes that he doesn't count on him, although he will give him minutes if he ends up staying. Not just any destination will do for him, although everything could change after this Spur move, as they're ready to offer him an unexpected role.
With Heung-min Son leaving, Tottenham is looking for a new star for its project. That's where Rodrygo Goes would come in, eager to show that he can be one of the best players in the world. It remains to be seen how this saga will end, but the Brazilian's departure is heating up little by little...
