U-turn at Barça. Laporta Decides, There's a Change of Coach: 'It's...'

He has earned enough merit to be promoted and at FC Barcelona the decision is already made

Barça Prepares a Coaching Shuffle at La Masia, with the Main Change Coming to the B Team. It's not an easy season, with the possibility of relegation to Segunda RFEF on the table. Whatever happens, the idea is clear: the current coach, Sergi Milà, will not continue in the position, and his successor has already been chosen. We are talking about  Juliano Belletti, a former footballer who has started his career with the Juvenil A.

Juliano Belletti: From Hero in Paris to the Benches of La Masia

In 2006, Belletti was responsible for scoring the second and decisive goal in the Champions League final, turning the result around against Arsenal. Last season, he joined Rafa Márquez's staff in the B team, and this season he started his solo adventure with the Juvenil A. So far, he has won the Cup, can win the División de Honor, and is in the Final Four of the Youth League.

He has more than earned his promotion, to the point that Sport has discovered  "the idea" of promoting him. Wherever Barça Atlètic is, next season its coach will be Juliano Belletti. The only drawback lies in his coaching license: he is obtaining the necessary category to be able to ascend, and everything seems to indicate that he will achieve it.

If he doesn't, there are always alternatives that would help expedite his promotion. The feelings with Juliano Belletti are very positive, and it has been decided to give him the promotion. He knows firsthand the upcoming generations and will have his well-deserved reward for a great year with the Juvenil A.

Barça B in Trouble

There are still eight games ahead, but the situation for Barça B is not easy at all. From the beginning, the squad was planned with the idea that Rafa Márquez would be on its bench. Newly renewed, he informed of his departure to Mexico a few days before the start of the season, which forced a move to 'promote' his assistant, Albert Sánchez.

The results have not been as expected, to the point that Albert (for many, too late) ended up being dismissed. At La Masia, Sergi Milà was brought in as an interim, whose goal is to achieve permanence. At the moment, Barça B is second to last in its group, seven points from safety, with eight games to play.

It won't be easy to stay in the current division, but, whatever happens, Juliano Belletti will take charge of Barça's second team. The decision is made.
