Hansi Flick Demands It and Laporta Fulfills His Wish, Confirmed at Barça: 'In Progress'

The FC Barcelona coach requested it as soon as he arrived and will soon see his wish fulfilled: approved

Since his arrival at Barça, Hansi Flick has been clear about what needs to change to continue growing in the club. Some of his goals have been achieved, others have not, and one is underway. Catalunya Ràdio has confirmed it, indicating that the board chaired by Laporta has given the green light to the German's desired project: a residence for the first team players.

Hansi Flick Asks and Laporta Grants His Wish

As soon as he landed at Barça, Hansi Flick was clear and direct. Upon seeing the facilities of the Ciutat Esportiva, he asked about the possibility of creating a residence for the first team players. A project that Deco also supports and that is now planned to be carried out in the coming months. It is necessary for the players' concentration before a match.

Thus, Barça will follow the lead of other top-level clubs like PSG or Real Madrid, which have this residence. The idea is for the players to focus in their own rooms before matches, achieving maximum relaxation. This was something planned since the Ciutat Esportiva was designed, but it was never done.

The idea is accepted by Laporta and his board of directors, so the next step will be to award the project to a group of architects. There is no start date yet and there are other matters ahead, but Hansi Flick already knows that his idea has been well received.

Barça Will Save in the Long Run

Something has changed in recent months with Hansi Flick in the position of coach. Since he has been at Barcelona, pre-match concentrations have returned, even when playing in Montjuïc. With the new residence that has already been approved, long-term savings are expected, not having to pay the high prices of hotels.

Thus, the first team players will not have to share a room, they will have their own room with all the comforts and will be able to rest well before important matches. Laporta is delighted with Hansi Flick, as this case shows: a significant investment will be made in a challenging moment, but it is necessary.
