Olmo to Receive Reward for His Silence and Understanding: Laporta Ruins His Business

Barça agrees on financial compensation for Dani Olmo for his excellent disposition

FC Barcelona won't get away with the irregularities it has committed in managing the incorporation of Dani Olmo into its team.

Olmo and the company handling his affairs already anticipated his current situation in the contract signed with Barça this summer.

Olmo reserved the right to become a free agent while forcing Barça to pay him every single euro agreed upon in the contract.

Dani Olmo is aware of the disruption his departure would cause to Barça. Therefore, Olmo has accepted an intermediate solution and will finish the season on loan to another team.

However, that doesn't mean Olmo will accept all the harm caused by a situation he didn't create.

Olmo Will Receive Financial Compensation

In fact, Nico Williams already saw it coming and didn't sign with FC Barcelona this summer.  Precisely, he wished to avoid finding himself in the same situation as Olmo.

Laporta has agreed with Olmo on a redress through financial compensation for the gesture he made by sparing the club greater harm by leaving.

The club isn't flush with cash for special situations, but this one is. Dani Olmo's departure would have cost the club more than 200 million euros in all respects.

MB doesn't have knowledge of the amount agreed upon by Laporta with Olmo to get through the rough patch. It does have information that this financial agreement exists and that Olmo will receive it at the end of the season

The Watch Brand Empire

The situation significantly harms the player. Both sportingly and financially. Olmo registered his celebration (the watch) and his own brand shortly before being unregistered by the Federation.

It's a high-reach business. Other athletes have already launched it using a gesture, a symbol, or a phrase that identifies them.

In this case, it's the gesture of the index finger pointing at the watch when he scores a goal.  That's his registered trademark for use in colognes, watches, stationery, backpacks, clothing, toys, or video games. Information provided by Sport newspaper.
