Official! Ter Stegen Has Sealed the Deal with Barça's No. 1 Rival: 'Only Missing...'

A surprise offer could solve Barça's problems in goal and with fair play

Despite having a contract in force until 2028, Ter Stegen knows firsthand that he isn't included in Barcelona's sports planning. The culer captain has the doors wide open at age 33, with the intention of carrying out the famous generational change between the posts. He doesn't lack offers and, although he has rejected all of them so far, it seems that the latest call has made him feel something different.

SPORT has revealed that there are already concrete moves regarding a possible departure of the German. Ter Stegen knows that he has lost his starting spot due to the arrival of Joan García and, although he prefers to stay, he no longer rules out leaving.  He is determined to be Germany's starting goalkeeper at the next World Cup and, for that, he knows he must play regularly.

Just like Barcelona, its great rival this season in Europe, Inter Milan is also preparing a change in its goal. Yan Sommer, age 36, has one year left on his contract and has received a very good offer from Galatasaray. The Italians are willing to sell him to save on his salary.

Looking for opportunities in the market, the possibility of Ter Stegen has emerged. There have been initial contacts and Inter Milan is promising him the starting spot at one of Europe's top clubs. He hasn't spoken with Barça about his situation yet, but everything could be unlocked next week, when training will begin at Ciutat Esportiva.

Barça offers an exit at zero cost

Although relations are tense right now, the idea is to offer Ter Stegen the termination of his contract. The idea is clear: he can leave at zero cost if he wishes, and they won't put up any obstacles. The only condition is that he must play far from one of Spain's top clubs, such as Real Madrid or Atlético.

Beyond that, the German knows perfectly well that he can leave for free if he wants. In fact, there is the possibility of also collecting his full salary for next year, as a way of thanking him for his services.

In the end, what Barcelona wants by letting Ter Stegen go is to get rid of his salary, which would have a very positive impact on fair play. The ball is in his court and, although he has doubts about leaving, Inter Milan's proposal could change everything.
