Confirmed! Only Two Possible Dates to Play Barça-Osasuna: ‘There is No…’

The match between FC Barcelona and Osasuna in LaLiga has been suspended due to the passing of Dr. Carles Miñarro.

The Barça-Osasuna match, corresponding to Matchday 27 of LaLiga, has been suspended. Scheduled to be played this Saturday, March 8 at 9 pm, it was FC Barcelona itself that requested its postponement, minutes before starting. The reason was the death of Dr Carles Miñarro, who, after going to take a nap at the team hotel, did not wake up again.

Two possible dates for the Barça-Osasuna match

At this moment, the least important thing is when the match between Barça and Osasuna will be played. However, although the intention is to do it as soon as possible, Mundo Deportivo has highlighted that there are only two available dates. There aren't many alternatives as the Barça team is involved in all the competitions in play: LaLiga, Copa del Rey, and Champions League.

Everything will depend on how they progress through the rounds. The international break for national teams at the end of March for the Nations League also complicates a new possible date.

This way, there are only two dates, for the moment, that seem feasible for the playing of this LaLiga match. The first would be the weekend of April 26 and 27. This is possible provided that Barcelona is eliminated from the Copa del Rey and can't play the much-desired final.

The Copa del Rey final will be played on April 26. So, if Barça were to fall in the semifinals against Atlético, this possibility would open up.

The second one is further away in time. The Barça-Osasuna match could be postponed until the week of May 19 to 25. With no midweek match, it could be played on Wednesday, the 21st, since the last matchday of LaLiga will be concentrated on Sunday, the 25th.

The death of Carles Miñarro: a hard blow

No one expected that Carles Miñarro, the first team's doctor, would pass away at only 40 years old. The truth is that everything seemed to indicate that it would be just another day in his life, having to work.

In the morning, he went to the team hotel, had lunch at noon, and then went to his room to sleep. This would be the last time he was seen, not waking up from his nap.

It has been a hard blow in the Barcelona locker room, as Carles Miñarro was highly respected by the players and the coaching staff. He even had his own nickname: they called him "doqui". Rest in peace.
