At Barça, They're Amazed by Its Behavior: Why is This Entity Hiding?

Laporta doesn't understand how Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor can be so unprotected by their own.

When Joan Laporta talks about sociological madridism, he refers to the power and influences that move in the capital of Spain.

The Sociological Madridism That Laporta Denounces

All the governing bodies are in Madrid and aligned with the directives and interests of Real Madrid. That includes federations, political, social, and judicial instances, and also media outlets.

One of those organizations based in Madrid, from where its activity is organized, is the AFE, Asociación de Futbolistas Españoles [Spanish Footballers Association]. It's an entity that looks after the rights of players.

The AFE is capable of threatening with players' strikes when it sees the rights of its members threatened.

What Does the AFE Say?

In this case, two members of the AFE, Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, are being targeted for a reckoning. Spanish clubs turn against Barça through the Federation and LaLiga.

What does the AFE say about the situation of the two Barça players? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

They are from Barça and it seems that they don't have the right to a legal defense from their union. The AFE seems to serve dark interests that are on everyone's mind.

Olmo and Pau Víctor are being denied their essential right to work. Even a labor contract they had signed with their club is rendered null and void.

Former Youth Player and Former Real Madrid Player

At FC Barcelona, they know that other clubs, like PSG or Chelsea, are in a much more severe financial abnormality. However, no one in their countries would dare leave two of their players unemployed.

These things only happen in Spain. Only in Spain is the body that should look after the interests of players capable of abstaining in such a serious matter.

Coincidentally, the president of the AFE is David Aganzo. Curiously, a former player and former youth player of Real Madrid. Nothing that can be surprising at this point.

Everything is dominated by Real Madrid: the League, the Federation, the media.

Vice President of the Federation

Diario Sport points out that Aganzo has just been appointed vice president of the Federation. He seems little motivated to intervene in favor of the players. If he did, he would jeopardize his new and comfortable status in a Federation that lately doesn't shine for doing things well.

At Barça, they have no record of the AFE having moved a finger in defense of two of its members. At Camp Nou, it is surprising that this body remains hidden, leaving two players stranded.

It's the sociological madridism that Laporta talks about. All those in power are in the same place and agree among themselves to protect each other.

Pressures on the CSD

El Larguero, by Cadena SER, explains about the Dani Olmo issue: "a favorable decision from the CSD could weaken the authority of Spanish soccer institutions. Solving this problem could generate a new conflict and damage the image of LaLiga and the RFEF."

Pressures on the CSD not to weaken the authority of the institutions. Now it's about that. Especially because the one affected is not Real Madrid.
