Marc Guiu is not happy at Chelsea. The 18-year-old left Barça this summer after completing the payment of his €6m release clause. Months later, he couldn't be more annoyed: the playing time promises made to him are not being fulfillled, having featured in just 168 minutes spread across five games.
After ten Premier League games, Marc Guiu has only had the chance to play 23 minutes in one game. Nothing at all in the rest of them. He regrets having left Barça for money and now wants to return, although he knows that it will be really difficult for him: Laporta doesn't want to even hear about him.
'El Nacional' found out that the Catalan striker has suggested to his agent possible return to FC Barcelona, trying to get a long-awaited second chance. However, he knows that it will be impossible: Laporta is very angry about his departure and is clear that a youth player who has left for money can't return. The message wouldn't be positive for the kids who stay on for less at La Masia.
Marc Guiu will not return
A few months ago, Guiu left Barça for 6 million euros and the reality is that, although he now wants to return, he hasn't done enough to merit it. Laporta is willing to forget his departure for financial reasons if he manages to stand out abroad, he has shown this with Olmo now and with Piqué years ago, but he hasn't done anything.
Guiu opted for the Premier League when Barça opened the doors to the first team. He had an offer to renew his contract and decided to go to a team with dubious operations to earn three times what they were offering him. Now he can't return, the message to the rest of the youth team would be negative and would harm Barcelona.
Marc Guiu is not considered necessary at Barça. There are other options to reinforce the attacking front next season, but none of them is the Catalan.
Joan Laporta is looking for a striker
Lewandowski is already 36 years old and needs a generational replacement. It is known by everyone that Laporta's main objective is Haaland , but at the moment it is impossible. For next season, the president has two options on the table, both at zero cost and neither of them is Marc Guiu.
Vitor Roque's loan to Betis could be positive, but the Verdiblancos have the option of keeping him. It will depend on many things. Another possibility is Jonathan David: Laporta has already been informed, he wants to earn 6 million net and would accept a role as a substitute, his dream is to play for Barcelona.
