One of the dark spots for Real Madrid this season is Aurélien Tchouaméni's performance in the pivot position.
Three years ago, Real Madrid thought about replacing Casemiro, who is eight years younger. They paid €80 million in fixed terms plus €20 in variables for Tchouaméni.
Tomás Roncero's Solution
However, the French international's performance has not been as expected. Without Toni Kroos at his side, Tchouaméni feels even more vulnerable.
Tomás Roncero has the solution to the Tchouaméni problem and he gives it to Carlo Ancelotti for free.
This is how he explains his theory today in the newspaper As:
"I imagine a turbulent winter transfer market because we suddenly find out that Carlos Henrique Casemiro is returning home, to his Madrid...
"Would it be a bad sporting operation? Does anyone doubt that the Brazilian panzer would greatly improve the poor performance so far given by Tchouaméni, his replacement in summer 2022?
"Since Ten Hag left, the São Paulo native is back in leadership mode at United.
"In the recent match against Leicester, Old Trafford chanted his name loudly to reward his great game and his dedication.
"But Casemiro is a white heart and, from his home in Manchester, he doesn't miss a single game of his Madrid.
"Don't forget that Casemiro left because he felt that a stage of his career had come to an end. And he didn't want to be a burden given that the club had signed Tchouaméni and Camavinga, apart from Fede Valverde being established.
"Casemiro could have held on to a contract that ended on June 30, 2025!
"He opted to leave 80 million euros in the Bernabéu treasury (he alone cost 6 million in 2013). Casemiro played 336 games for Real Madrid, with a card that includes five Champions League titles in his bag.
Casemiro: the Best Pivot in Europe
"At United he is just two games away from reaching the Centenary with the Red Devils. His current figures speak for themselves.
"Among the midfielders in the top-five leagues, Casemiro is the best defensively. He outperforms 97% of midfielders in winning duels, 94% in making key passes and 92% in attacking passes.
"So, let me daydream and tell you the content of my dreams. With Case, I'm sure we'd have a brutal second half of the season.
"Everyone played better next to him. For Modric, Bellingham or Valverde it would be a relief... "
