Franco Mastantuono has definitively closed his signing for Real Madrid. OKDiario has revealed that, after several days of negotiations, a final agreement has been reached with River Plate for the Argentine talent. The transfer has been closed for a fee close to €45 million (49.6 million USD), the price set by his release clause.
Franco Mastantuono: Salary and details of his contract with Real Madrid
In the coming weeks, Mastantuono will turn 18, making him eligible to sign a long-term contract with Real Madrid. The Argentine has agreed to commit to a deal until 2031, for the next six seasons, securing his future at Santiago Bernabéu.

Mastantuono will start with a salary in the lower-middle range of the wage scale, according to Madrid-Barcelona. This will increase year after year, in line with his expected improvement as he gets older. In addition, there will also be individual performance bonuses, as well as a small signing bonus.
Florentino was clear that Franco Mastantuono couldn't slip away, with Calafat's role being key in the negotiations. He arrives endorsed by Xabi Alonso, but also by the football director: Santiago Solari, who has fought for him the most.
Mastantuono won't arrive until after the Club World Cup
In the negotiations with River Plate, it was agreed to delay Mastantuono's arrival until he is of legal age, that is, until August 14. This means that he won't play in the Club World Cup with Real Madrid, but he will with the Argentina team.
This is what Franco Mastantuono himself requested, as he wants to say goodbye to his beloved team in a major tournament. Initially, the youngster planned to play there until December, when the season ends in Argentina. However, due to the great interest he has caused in Europe, this won't be possible, bringing his arrival on the continent forward by a few months.

At Real Madrid there is no doubt: Mastantuono's signing is one for the future, but also for the present. He arrives ready to play at the elite level of world soccer and will have opportunities in Xabi Alonso's starting eleven. Initially, he isn't expected to have an important role in his first few months, using this time to adapt to the new country, the soccer, and Madrid's methodology.
Florentino is delighted: Mastantuono has always prioritized playing for Real Madrid, and that's what will happen. He has earned it.
