They announce the Real Madrid player who wants to leave for the Premier League: Xabi Alonso's approval

There is a Real Madrid member who intends to play in England and could speed up his departure

Real Madrid hasn't had an easy squad preparation for this season that's just getting underway. With a little over 1 week left before the transfer window closes, there are still some unsolved cases. One of them is precisely Rodrygo Goes, for whom a high fee has always been demanded to let him leave, and about whom Alfredo Relaño has spoken clearly.

Relaño, in an opinion article written for "AS", has been blunt about it, revealing that Rodrygo Goes "aspires" to play in the Premier League. Florentino is asking for €90 million (about $97.5 million) to let him go, trying to take advantage of the interest from England. This is the main problem in speeding up his departure, as no club is interested in paying that amount.

Rodrygo Goes dreams of the Premier League

"It's obvious that, whether because the club needs money or because Xabi doesn't like him, Rodrygo is the sixth forward in the squad. There's a deadline until the end of the month for him to find a destination," he began by saying.

He continued: "He's been warned that if he doesn't leave, he may play very little or almost not at all this season... after which the real World Cup, the one for national teams, will arrive."

He concluded by talking about Rodrygo Goes: "Real Madrid wants €90 million (about $97.5 million) for him, the player aspires to one of the 'Big Six' in the Premier League, but perhaps both sides should lower their expectations. The market isn't moving for him."

Lurking

As of today, Manchester City are still interested in Rodrygo Goes, but it's not at all clear what will happen. The Brazilian is its main target in the two weeks remaining in the market, but there's a condition that must be solved for this to happen.

Rodrygo Goes will only leave for Manchester City if a departure is triggered that, right now, seems unlikely. Pep Guardiola wants the forward from Real Madrid if the sale of Sávio, who's in negotiations with Tottenham, is finalized. The Brazilian forward is his main target if this move goes through, with all other options completely ruled out.

However, right now Sávio's departure is at a standstill. Manchester are asking for €70 million (about $75.8 million), while Tottenham's offer doesn't reach that amount.

If the Brazilian ends up going to Tottenham, Manchester would immediately activate the signing of Rodrygo Goes. Although it's yet to be seen if it would be for the €90 million (about $97.5 million) that Real Madrid is asking for.
