Siro López breaks his silence, says what many think in Madrid: 'I'd sell...'

The journalist is blunt after Real Madrid's debacle at the Club World Cup against PSG

Real Madrid suffered a crushing defeat against Paris-Saint Germain in the Club World Cup semifinals. The 4-0 result has sparked a lot of criticism across Spain, especially among Madridists. One of those who has spoken out is Siro López, who hasn't missed the chance to use his platform on "COPE" to speak very clearly. He has said what many are thinking, and his speech has been widely praised on social media.

Siro López explodes

The Galician began his remarks by stating: "Today, Madrid fans and I would sell three-quarters of the squad... Not to mention the entire squad, after what we've seen in the match."

Siro López continued: "To analyze Xabi Alonso's tactical approach today... When in the 8th minute there are two blunders by the defense and the opponent goes up 2-0, it would be tremendously unfair. For me, the headline is 'disaster'."

"Xabi Alonso has a lot of responsibility"

López didn't hold back: "Obviously, when it comes to assigning responsibility, Alonso has a lot of responsibility today. He's the one who put these players on the field. Last year, in some matches as well, and in others not, because he thought it was a problem with the approach. But what happened today is something else. What we've seen today is unacceptable."
