Juanma Castaño has spoken out after what happened in the match between Paris-Saint Germain and Real Madrid. The journalist, host of the show "El Partidazo" on Cadena Cope, has been especially harsh with the team led by Xabi Alonso. He hasn't hesitated to describe Madrid as "dreadful and pathetic" after the result in the FIFA Club World Cup semifinals.
Juanma Castaño explodes with Madrid
He started by saying: "4-0 and thanks. Because it feels like in the second half, PSG took its foot off the gas, didn't go for more and the match more or less stopped the carnage that could've been for Real Madrid."
Juanma Castaño continued: "It's the end of the season. A bad season for Real Madrid, where it won the UEFA Super Cup almost a year ago and also the Intercontinental. There are ways and ways to lose and this is an absolutely unworthy way, no matter that PSG are European champions."

"Dreadful, pathetic"
Juanma Castaño didn't stop there, continuing: "The thrashing was significant today. The fourth goal was like a futsal goal, a joke of a goal. I ask myself a question: if everything Xabi Alonso had won in these five matches, all that credit they said he had earned, all the praise he had received, he lost it today. It's possible, eh."
Finally, he concluded: "Madrid were dreadful in the first half, pathetic. In the second, it survived on the field. There's a big gap with Paris Saint-Germain."
Xabi Alonso can turn things around
With weeks ahead before the start of the next campaign, Xabi Alonso will finally have the time and freedom to shape his project from the ground up.
Real Madrid hasn't wasted any time strengthening its squad. Trent, one of the most sought-after full-backs in the world, has arrived to bring experience and leadership. Added to this is the signing of Dean Huijsen, a young center-back with a great future, and the Argentine talent Mastantuono, expected to make history in the white midfield. In addition, the signing of Álvaro Carreras, Benfica's left-back, is practically done and will be official in the coming days.

These moves not only respond to a sporting need, but are part of a clear renewal strategy, rejuvenating the squad with players of great international potential.
With Xabi Alonso at the helm, Real Madrid seeks not only immediate results, but a recognizable, modern, and ambitious playing identity. The coach wants a more aggressive team with and without the ball, capable of dominating in any stadium and against any opponent. Despite Juanma Castaño's obvious criticism, there's a plan in motion.
