Sergio Ramos Spoke with Mastantuono after the River-Rayados Match: ‘At Madrid You’re…’

The words of the former Real Madrid captain about the future star who will shine at Santiago Bernabéu have been revealed

The past and future of Real Madrid have met at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles for the Club World Cup. Despite playing a good match, Mastantuono couldn't get the win against Rayados, ending the match in a 0-0 draw. The new Madridist was chosen as the MVP of the match, with Sergio Ramos in front of him, who was surprised by his outstanding level.

Sergio Ramos spoke with Mastantuono

After the match, the former Madrid captain had a brief conversation with Franco Mastantuono, in which he wished him the best of luck at Santiago Bernabéu. Defensa Central has discovered that Sergio Ramos told him privately: "At Real Madrid you're going to win many things, but it won't be easy, stay strong."

The current River Plate star thanked him for this message and the affection Sergio Ramos had shown him, pointing him out as one of his idols. Mastantuono showed his admiration, also contributing some kind words praising his remarkable career.

At 17 years old, Franco Mastantuono is Argentina's biggest star and is ready to make the leap to Europe. He'll arrive at Real Madrid next August, once he turns 18 years old. These matches in the Club World Cup are his last with River's jersey, and he plans to make the most of them.

A match to shine

After the first two matchdays, Group E of the World Cup remains wide open. Mastantuono has River Plate in first place with four points, tied with Inter Milan. This will be the key match to decide the group leader, with both teams having to fight next Thursday, June 26.

Both River Plate and Inter are currently tied at four points after the first two matchdays, each with a draw and a loss. Mathematically, Urawa Reds are already eliminated, while Ramos's Rayados keep waiting to see what happens. Depending on the results, if they beat the Japanese side, they could sneak into the next round, now having 2 points.

It won't be easy for Mastantuono, who knows that the next match could put him even more in the spotlight in Europe if he manages to do well against the Champions League runner-up. Real Madrid will keep a close eye on his performance, although nothing will change: they're delighted with what they've seen from him. There's a footballer for years to come.
