Real Madrid Finds Out Xabi Alonso’s Real Price: ‘Leverkusen Wants…’

They have found in Germany how much money Bayer Leverkusen wants to charge for the release of Xabi Alonso

Xabi Alonso is Florentino's chosen one to succeed Carlo Ancelotti at the helm of Real Madrid. The decision is made and there have already been conversations, focusing everything on the project being prepared for the next season. So far, figures haven't been discussed, but there won't be any problem in that aspect. In the last few hours, from Germany, they have discovered meetings with Iñaki Ibáñez, the representative of the Tolosarra, and everything seems to be on the right track.

Leverkusen won't let Xabi Alonso leave for free

Since he signed with Bayer Leverkusen, there have been rumors of an exit clause for three teams, among which is Real Madrid. In this regard, from Germany, they seem to be going another way, to the point that the German club has set a price. Xabi Alonso has a contract until 2026 and won't leave there for free: the release has a price, and Florentino Pérez knows it firsthand.

In Sky Germany, they assure that Leverkusen wants to receive between €15 million and €20 million for letting Xabi Alonso leave. There haven't been conversations between both teams yet, but no problems are expected. The Germans are already moving in anticipation of their coach's possible departure, exploring the market in search of a new coach who can succeed him in the position.

In this regard, Xabi Alonso only has two options on the table: go to Real Madrid or stay at Bayer Leverkusen. If he does the latter, he is clear that he wouldn't renew his contract, leaving at its conclusion in 2026.

Florentino Pérez remains patient

Real Madrid knows that Ancelotti's era on the bench has to conclude this very season. He hasn't been up to the task, and a significant change is needed. The chosen one is and always has been Xabi Alonso, despite rumors of other possibilities.

There are direct negotiations with his closest circle, trying to plan the squad for the next season. Xabi Alonso has already conveyed his approval to coach Real Madrid, being his goal to make the definitive leap in coaching.

Xabi Alonso wants to leave Leverkusen to coach Madrid, while Florentino Pérez intends to lower those €15-20 million demanded in Germany. The Tolosarra's signing is strategic, but it's overpriced and needs to be cheaper.
