Radical Turn! Everything Changes for Endrick at Real Madrid: ‘It’s Gonzalo’s Fault’

Endrick is considering leaving as he sees the complications he may face in becoming important at Real Madrid

While Endrick is recovering from a right leg injury, a teammate has emerged who could change his entire outlook at Real Madrid. We're talking about Gonzalo García, who has become the big beneficiary of Xabi Alonso's arrival on the Madrid bench. The youth academy player has received his opportunity in this Club World Cup due to Mbappé's problems and has replied brilliantly. So far, he has started 3 matches, with a record of 2 goals and 1 assist.

Gonzalo García convinces Xabi Alonso

Since his arrival, it became clear that Endrick doesn't quite appeal to the new coach. What Xabi Alonso is looking for on the bench is a powerful, tall backup "9" who can pin down the center backs. Even though he was searching for one in the market, Gonzalo García offers all these characteristics, and he has convinced him with his high performance in the United States.

"He has some of Raúl's qualities," Xabi Alonso has said about the youth academy player from Real Madrid. He is able to link up with his teammates, is always in the right place, wins duels easily thanks to his physique, and isn't afraid of contact.

The reality is that Gonzalo García has shattered all expectations, even though Alonso hasn't been surprised, or so he says. He was Castilla's top scorer last season in Primera Federación and seems to have earned a place in the first team. He has been very well received in the locker room, where they see him as a striker capable of changing matches and give him their full trust.

Endrick considers leaving Madrid

Endrick is about to turn 19 and is experiencing a key moment in his career. After arriving at Real Madrid as one of the most promising signings from Brazil, his first season in Europe hasn't been the desired one. Although he has had minutes, his adaptation process has been slow, and Gonzalo García's breakout in the white attack could end up relegating him to an unexpected secondary role.

Xabi Alonso, new coach of Real Madrid, values his talent... but believes he still needs more experience to compete at the highest level at Santiago Bernabéu. That's why those close to the footballer have started to consider a possible loan move.

Real Madrid isn't considering a sale. The club made a major investment in Endrick, and they still believe in his potential in the medium and long term. If he does leave this summer, it will only be on loan and within La Liga, so they can closely monitor his development and keep full control over his future.

Endrick's next step will shape his development in Europe. The decision, for both the player and the club, will be strategic.
