Official! He’ll Sign with Madrid after the World Cup: Rodrygo is Left Without a Spot

The player already has a destination, and his arrival at Bernabéu puts even more pressure on Rodrygo, who is starting to run out of space

Rodrygo's future at Real Madrid is more uncertain than ever. Although he has had brilliant moments since he arrived at the club, his performance has been inconsistent.

He has excelled on key Champions League nights, but on a day-to-day basis, he hasn't managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter. The competition in the white attack is fierce, and now, with new names on the horizon, his place in the starting eleven is in jeopardy.

On top of this, the environment isn't entirely favorable. The club values his talent, but they're also starting to analyze his continuity. If a significant offer arrives this summer, a sale isn't ruled out. Rodrygo needs to make a statement, but time is running out and the competition is growing.

A new name for the future

It's precisely that competition that's marking the change of cycle. Real Madrid has just completed the signing of one of the most promising players in South America: Franco Mastantuono. The young Argentine, only 17 years old, has already been introduced internally as a strategic reinforcement for the immediate future.

His World Cup ended earlier than desired, after River Plate's elimination in the group stage. Even so, the white club is breathing easy: Mastantuono is joining earlier, injury-free, and already focused on Bernabéu.

In his last match, he said goodbye to River with emotion, knowing he was leaving his home behind. But also with the excitement of joining the club of his dreams.

Precocious talent, veteran personality

It's no coincidence that Madrid has strongly backed him; at River Plate he was already a starter and a key figure. He asked for the ball, organized the play, and made a difference.

He can play as a winger, attacking midfielder, or even in central midfield. His maturity in making decisions in high-pressure areas of the field has surprised even the most demanding observers.

Xabi Alonso, who has influenced the final decision, sees him as a key piece for the new project. He has spoken with him, explained that he'll have an important role from the start, and that he'll get minutes.

Mastantuono isn't coming to fill out the squad: he's coming to compete right away. Inevitably, that puts players like Rodrygo in check.

A Madrid that doesn't wait

Real Madrid is building a young, ambitious team hungry for titles. To Bellingham, Güler, Brahim, and Endrick, Mastantuono is now added.

Players who not only have talent, but also attitude and personality. The club wants to rejuvenate its squad without losing competitiveness.

If Rodrygo wants to keep his place, he'll have to show much more; the margin for error is shrinking. There's no longer room for comfort or inconsistency. Madrid moves quickly, and whoever doesn't respond is left behind. Now, with Mastantuono making a strong entrance, the Brazilian is obliged to react.
