Neither Huijsen nor Saliba, Florentino Pérez has a new center-back for €0: 'he's...'

Rumors are growing and now point to a good, nice, and dirt-cheap center-back: completely free for Madrid

Aymeric Laporte wants to return to the elite of European soccer…and has chosen Real Madrid. The international defender for Spain, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in Arabia, has once again offered himself to the white club in search of one last great opportunity in his professional career.

Aymeric Laporte offers his signing to Real Madrid

According to Madrid-Barcelona, the defender is willing to terminate his current contract, which ends in June 2026. Laporte, who earns a high salary at the Saudi club, would give up the remaining money in exchange for returning to compete in Europe at the highest level. His priority is to sign with Real Madrid.

Laporte believes he still has time to contribute to a big club, and considers Real Madrid the ideal destination. At 30 years old, the former Manchester City player is physically 100% and has expressed to his circle his desire to compete in the Champions League once more.

Florentino Pérez already has the proposal in his hands. Laporte doesn't ask for a starting position or demand star conditions: his approach is clear and direct. He wants to play, compete, and prove that he is still ready for great challenges. The player knows Madrid's situation, which seeks to strengthen the central axis of the defense for the 2025-2026 season, and believes his experience could be useful.

Florentino doubts with Laporte

However, within Real Madrid there are doubts. Laporte's profile is appealing for his authority, leadership, and international experience, but his age is a factor that works against him. With Xabi Alonso as the new coach and the club's policy focused on young and future signings, Laporte doesn't quite fit into the long-term plans.

Florentino Pérez considers younger alternatives, such as Dean Huijsen, although the possibility of incorporating a free and experienced player like Laporte is not ruled out. Moreover, his arrival wouldn't require a significant investment and could offer short-term stability.

For now, there is no definitive answer. Real Madrid is studying the proposal and will take a few weeks before deciding. Meanwhile, Laporte has already warned: he is willing to reject any other offer just to wear white. His dream, to play at Santiago Bernabéu.
