Manu Carreño Drops the Bomb about Ancelotti — KO at Real Madrid: 'There are...'

The host of El Larguero raises doubts about the Italian's continuity at Real Madrid

Manu Carreño has questioned Ancelotti's continuity leading Real Madrid. After the 5-2 overtime victory against Celta, the Italian has once again sparked a multitude of criticism. Speaking on the El Larguero program following the Copa del Rey match, the host was blunt.

"I'm only going to say this sentence tonight[yesterday]and we'll see that the season is very long and the results will put things in their place. However, today, I daren't assure that Ancelotti will finish the season," Manu Carreño  pointed out.

Manu Carreño didn't stop there, also adding: "I repeat: There are many games left, but also too many things happening that make me think this. It's January and doubts, as Álvaro Benito said, still linger for everyone."

Goodbye to Ancelotti? Florentino Has Everything Ready

The truth is that, when there's smoke, there's fire. Even though Florentino Pérez is not currently considering Carlo Ancelotti's dismissal, the truth is he has everything ready in case it happens.

The strategy in case Ancelotti's dismissal is chosen is clear. Florentino Pérez's trust in Santiago Solari is total, and he considers him the ideal person to take the position on an interim basis.

It wouldn't be the first time Solari has taken charge of Real Madrid's bench in this way. In 2018, he was promoted to the first team after Lopetegui's dismissal, but things didn't go too well for him. In any case, what Florentino is clear about is that it would be the emergency solution to find Ancelotti's replacement with more time.

Florentino Isn't Considering Ancelotti's Dismissal

At the moment, the chances of Ancelotti being dismissed by Real Madrid are minimal. Despite Manu Carreño's words, the truth is the president has no intention of firing his coach.

Everything is planned in case it's needed, but the idea is to keep Ancelotti until the end of the campaign, allowing for a change on the bench for the next season. The chosen one is none other than Xabi Alonso, being the president's favorite to take charge of Real Madrid starting next summer.
