Real Madrid analysts from Carrusel Deportivo have shown their absolute disapproval of the attitude seen in Montjuïc in several Real Madrid players.
The comments have been of disappointment. That was not what was expected from a Real Madrid that was playing for LaLiga and was already winning 0-2 in the first quarter of an hour.
Álvaro Benito has been one of the most incisive in his criticism against the play displayed by Ancelotti's men: "The first half is for a 6-0. They need to take a look at themselves. Vinícius's performance is nameless, it's a disgrace," he said.
He then added: "And Bellingham's too."
"Vinicius's match is similar to Rodrygo's in the Copa final. Walking, defending with their eyes... It's tremendous," he continued.
He concluded: "We can't be surprised. Madrid is playing the match of having life or nothing like the whole season. The example is in De Jong, who now seems like N'Golo Kanté."
Álvaro Benito: "Barça Players Enter as if They Own the Place"
But Álvaro Benito was not the only one who showed his disappointment with the play and attitude of Real Madrid players. Antonio Romero denounced that "Barça players enter as if they own the place, with tremendous quality and exemplary calm." And more: "The match of Güler, Vinícius, and Ceballos is a disgrace."
Manolo Sanchís lamented that "Madrid has dissolved."
Meanwhile, Tomás Roncero saw it this way: "We're the richest in the cemetery. It has to be said like this. The money in the bank, great."
"Madrid, with the 0-2, has backed down," he said. He added: "One thing is that on the day you're playing for the league you lose, and another thing is that they could score seven against you. I'm content with them not scoring a historic thrashing," Roncero said at halftime.
Roncero argued his great disappointment: "With the best imaginable scenario of 0-2, Madrid has collapsed in that terrible half-hour. It's true that this team has players with commitment like Valverde, Modric, Brahim, Bellingham even if he's not accurate...
Roncero Knows why Barça will be Champion
I can't ask more from Mbappé. He scored three and was everywhere. But more has to be asked from Vinicius, from the team at a collective level, from the commitment to retreat.
Barça will win this League because they run, retreat, defend... They do everything. That half-hour is stuck in my mind..."
He sent a warning to Xabi Alonso: "He will find players who need to change their mindset. If not, they should leave." He pointed out something about Rodrygo: "If with what's happening Rodrygo doesn't warm up, there's something."
He concluded, already resigned and with LaLiga lost: "I'm resigned, like them."
He made a recommendation to Florentino for signings: "Madrid has to sign a midfielder who bites, two center-backs, a left-back, and an attacking midfielder."
