Juanma Castaño announces the 3 offers Joan García has: '1 from Spain and...'

The COPE host provides the latest update on the future of the most sought-after goalkeeper in all of Spain

Joan García has become the main name at the start of this transfer market. Espanyol's goalkeeper has been the best in La Liga this season and has become the object of desire for the top clubs in Europe. Right now, the best positioned to sign him is Barça, although Juanma Castaño has revealed the other offers he has on the table.

Juanma Castaño speaks: 3 offers for Joan García

The COPE journalist, host of "El Partidazo," has been clear regarding the Catalan's future. He has made it clear that, besides Barça, there are two other teams fighting to sign him. Both are from the Premier League, and they appear to be Manchester City and Newcastle, teams with significant financial power from abroad.

"The main name that's getting most of the minutes and headlines is Joan García, Espanyol's goalkeeper. For now, the team Joan García will join hasn't been decided. Not even he knows, so I'm surprised when it's published that he's already made up his mind, that it's done with this or another team, or it's categorically stated that he won't play for a certain team," Juanma Castaño began.

He continued: "Quique Iglesias already knows, it's very clear, he says he's almost certain it won't be Barça. I'm not so sure it won't be Barça. There are three teams that want Joan García: two are from the Premier League and one is from La Liga."

"At this moment there aren't more. I think the teams are Newcastle, Manchester City, and FC Barcelona; and the decision will be made at the beginning of next week," he stated.

Finally, he concluded: "If he does go to Barça as the starting goalkeeper... It's clear that his chances of winning titles and also being the national team's goalkeeper increase significantly, something that's on Joan García's mind."

Barça, favorite

Madrid-Barcelona has learned that, at this moment, Joan García would have practically decided to head to FC Barcelona. It's the offer that convinces him the most, especially considering the promise to transfer Ter Stegen.

It seems that, despite Juanma Castaño's information, Newcastle's option has been losing ground, focusing their efforts on an English team. Meanwhile, Manchester City would seem more favorable toward signing the Portuguese Diogo Costa from Porto.

Taking all this into account and weighing all the options, Joan García would be very much in favor of joining FC Barcelona.
