Josep Pedrerol Blunt with Ancelotti — Two Wrong Decisions against Betis: ‘He Didn’t…’

The host of 'El Chiringuito' publicly points out the two decisions by Ancelotti that harmed Real Madrid.

Real Madrid couldn't overcome Betis (2-1), thus letting slip three points that could be crucial in the fight for LaLiga. Josep Pedrerol didn't hold back after the match, publicly pointing out Ancelotti for two decisions that, according to the host of El Chiringuito, were wrong.

The first lies in the substitution of Mbappé who, needing to overturn an unfavorable result, was substituted. In the 75th minute and trailing on the scoreboard, Ancelotti preferred to think ahead and took the Frenchman off the field, giving Endrick the opportunity. Speaking about it, Josep Pedrerol was blunt: "Madrid is losing and he takes off Mbappé..."

Josep Pedrerol didn't stop there. After the match between Betis and Real Madrid, he once again used his X account to criticize Ancelotti. This time, for leaving Raúl Asencio on the bench for the entire 90 minutes: "Leaving ASENCIO on the bench is something no one understands."

Ancelotti, critical at Real Madrid

Josep Pedrerol wasn't the only one to speak clearly and bluntly after the loss against Betis. In the post-match press conference, Ancelotti also didn't hold back and pointed out what happened at Real Madrid.

"We started well, but then we weren't able to maintain the level, commitment, and attitude. They deserved to win," Ancelotti indicated.

In this regard, he continued: "It's a hard blow, we need to react, it's tough to lose at this stage because all teams are running. We didn't play well in this match."

Josep Pedrerol criticized the situation with Mbappé. Ancelotti argued that "He had this problem (he recently had a tooth removed), he hasn't trained much, and I preferred to take him off."

Busy schedule for Ancelotti's team

Real Madrid doesn't have an easy schedule ahead after losing to Betis. The next match will be a Champions League game against Atlético, and in between these two clashes, there will be Rayo Vallecano. After that, they will face Villarreal and Leganés.

Real Madrid has many matches ahead and can't afford more defeats. These are crucial dates, and they need to be accurate, something Ancelotti knows very well. They didn't play well against Betis, the match ended in defeat, and they need to lift their heads and improve: there's no time for regrets, the next match is in hours.
