Tomás Roncero’s Reaction after Losing to Betis: From 0-1 Madrid…’

The journalist from 'El Chiringuito' doesn't hold back and points out Real Madrid's mistake at Benito Villamarín.

Real Madrid Has Lost Against Betis (2-1) and complicated its chances in LaLiga, with the top part being so tight. The reaction of Tomás Roncero didn't take long, as he quickly pointed out the problem Ancelotti's team had. In his opinion, everything changed after the 0-1, when Brahim put them ahead on the scoreboard.

"From 0-1 Madrid took a nap," pointed out Tomás Roncero on his X account. He didn't stop there, adding: "We didn't play anything after Brahim's goal."

Real Madrid, unrecognizable

Tomás Roncero is not wrong with his explanation. Not much more can be said: Real Madrid has deservedly lost against Betis. From the first goal of the afternoon, Ancelotti's team fell apart and let themselves be controlled by the opponents.

A few minutes after scoring, Betis equalized through Brahim. Meanwhile, after the break, nothing changed and Isco put them ahead on the scoreboard from the penalty spot. Real Madrid didn't know how to react, lacking significant actions to tie the match after being behind for so many minutes.

Betis couldn't be controlled

The main problem was with the ball at their feet, with Betis Being Far Superior to Real Madrid on the Field. They knew how to control the match at will, staying calm and not suffering too much during the final moments.

It seemed that Real Madrid was thinking about next Tuesday, when they will face Atlético in the Champions League. LaLiga can get complicated, depending on the upcoming results, and the anger is total. Tomás Roncero doesn't understand how the match could have slipped away like this, especially going out with all possible firepower up front.

It's true that in the midfield Ceballos (injured) and Bellingham (suspended) were missing, but there are no excuses for this performance. Real Madrid should have done better against Betis, and the defeat was clear and deserved. Improvement is needed, aiming to achieve better results in the upcoming matches, with the intention of continuing to fight for LaLiga.

Despite this result against Betis, Real Madrid is still alive in all possible competitions: League, Cup, and Champions.
