Florentino Seals It for Less Than €1 Million: Real Madrid Signs Him for the World Cup

Real Madrid closes a high-profile signing that will arrive immediately to help in the Club World Cup

Florentino Pérez has it completely closed, with Alexander-Arnold becoming the first signing of the next season. The only thing missing at the moment is the signature, as he will be free on June 30... but now they are working on bringing him in earlier. Liverpool knows he won't continue and is willing to receive money to "help" him be present at the Club World Cup.

Alexander-Arnold Will Cost Madrid Less Than One Million

Initially, it wasn't expected that the English full-back would incur any cost, but this has changed with the World Cup dispute. Meanwhile, Arnold ends his contract on June 30, this competition starts a few days earlier, on the 14th. With FIFA opening a special market for teams participating in the competition to make moves, Florentino has decided he plans to take advantage of it.

There have been contacts with Liverpool, which has shown its willingness to let him leave a few days before June 30. But for this, they ask for money, a small financial compensation that would unlock everything. AS has revealed that this is set "below one million euros," "breaking" his bond a few days before its conclusion.

It is also important that Alexander-Arnold is willing to forgo a small part of his salary, what he would be owed until the 30th. This figure would be about 900,000, increasing Liverpool's earnings to 1.5 or €2 million, letting him leave a few days before his bond stipulates.

Alexander-Arnold: Luxury Reinforcement for Solari

Santiago Solari will return to the bench of Real Madrid... but only on an interim basis and with Alexander-Arnold in tow. The current director of soccer of the white club will take on the role of coach during the upcoming Club World Cup, which will be held starting June 14 in the United States.

The decision has already been made in the offices of Santiago Bernabéu. Florentino has lost confidence in Ancelotti after a season marked by poor performance in major matches, with a Copa del Rey lost to Barcelona... and an image that hasn't convinced in the Champions League. The Italian coach will leave the club at the end of LaLiga.

In this scenario, the club has opted for a transitional solution. Solari will take the reins of the team in the Club World Cup, where he will act as a link between Ancelotti and the next permanent coach: Xabi Alonso

The current manager of Bayer Leverkusen will join in the summer to prepare for the preseason, but he won't take command before then. Thus, the Real Madrid ensures an orderly transition with a homegrown coach, familiar with the locker room and the club's philosophy
