Real Madrid doesn't stop moving in the market despite being focused on the World Cup. So far, three signings have been announced that are considered key for the future, but there also have to be departures. One of them is underway and could be about to be finalized.
Fabrizio Romano has surprised on his X account, formerly known as Twitter, by announcing a top-level departure from Castilla. We're talking about Rafael Obrador, the Spanish left-back, who is finalizing all the details to head to Genoa.
Rafael Obrador will leave Real Madrid
This past season, Obrador spent it on loan at Deportivo, where he was important. After a year on loan, he is clear that he doesn't want to continue in the Madrid reserve team's dynamic.

Rafael Obrador has already accepted Genoa as his official destination for next season... where they've assured him he'll be important in Serie A. The only condition that Real Madrid has set is that it wants to keep control of its youth player for the coming years.
This means that Florentino Pérez intends to keep a buy-back clause, as well as keep a percentage of his future rights.
Xabi Alonso is aware of the deal, having given his approval to this departure. He doesn't have space for Rafael Obrador in the first-team squad and believes that the best thing for his development is a move.
Great potential
Rafael Obrador keeps making steady progress in his career. At 21 years old, the left-back has toughened up this season with Deportivo de la Coruña, where he was a key piece in defense. His loan to the Galician side in the Second Division has helped him gain experience and minutes: he has played 34 official matches and provided one assist, leaving a very good impression both in defense and in his runs down the flank.
Trained at La Fábrica after arriving from Mallorca, Obrador is a left-back with good tactical awareness, range, and the ability to close down his area. Although he hasn't particularly stood out for his offensive stats, he has shown solidity and maturity, qualities that Real Madrid especially values in its youth players.
They keep a close eye on his development in Valdebebas. The competition at left-back is high, so Obrador will go to Italy to toughen up. Depending on how things go for him at Genoa, his return can't be ruled out. His progress is encouraging: Real Madrid still believes in his talent and potential, but right now it doesn't have a spot for him.
