Deal closed. Real Madrid places another one of its gems at Cesc Fàbregas's Como.

Cesc repeats the move: buys Jacobo Ramón after the success with Nico Paz

Real Madrid keeps offloading its unwanted players and this time the main character is Jacobo Ramón. The young academy player, who didn't have a place in Xabi Alonso's plans, has been transferred to Como, the Italian club managed by Cesc Fàbregas.

In Valdebebas, they consider it a strategic move. Madrid is not only freeing itself from a player who was going to have few opportunities.

It is also placing one of its assets in the team that is investing the most in signings this summer in Italy. All of this, with an eye on a possible future increase in value.

The example of Nico Paz is still very recent. Last summer, Como paid €6 million for him and today Transfermarkt values him at €35 million.

Madrid sold him with a preferential option. It hopes to repeat the operation with Jacobo, a player who, without being a media star, left his mark during his brief time with the first team.

Although his name didn't make headlines, Jacobo Ramón was the unexpected protagonist in one of the most agonizing matches of last season. Against Mallorca, with the game stuck, the academy player scored the goal that gave Madrid the three points.

It was his moment. The reward for his quiet work in Castilla. However, the arrival of new signings, such as Huijsen, pushed him back into the background.

Xabi Alonso valued him, but told him he wouldn't have a permanent place in the first team. Before he lost value in Castilla or went through aimless loans, the club looked for a definitive solution.

Como, Madrid's unexpected ally

Cesc Fàbregas's relationship with Real Madrid seems like an unwritten partnership. He already showed it last summer with Nico Paz and has done it again now with Jacobo Ramón. The former Barça player, now coach and mastermind at Como, has understood that there is untapped talent in Valdebebas.

The Italian club spares no expense. It is the team that has invested the most money this summer in Italy, even more than giants like Juventus or Milan. Its project is serious: they want to establish themselves among the elite of Serie A.

In that context, Jacobo Ramón fits perfectly. Youth, hunger, elite training, and room for improvement.

Meanwhile, Madrid secures €2.5 million for the transfer and keeps rights over a future sale. Everyone wins.

Quiet goodbye, but with impact

He won't be remembered as a Madrid legend, but Jacobo Ramón could end up being another masterstroke by Real Madrid.

As happened with Achraf, Miguel Gutiérrez, or Nico Paz himself, the paths separate, but the doors remain open.
