Bombshell! No one expected what Josep Pedrerol has said about Vinícius: 'Open market'

The host of 'El Chiringuito' leaves Vinícius's future hanging in the air after his poor debut at the Club World Cup

Real Madrid didn't make its best possible debut in the Club World Cup, drawing 1-1 in its opening match. This didn't amuse "El Chiringuito", which led several panelists to show their anger with certain players. One who drew all the attention was Vinícius Júnior, once again missing and delivering a more than questionable performance.

Josep Pedrerol didn't hold back and spoke up, showing his most critical side against Madrid's "7". The show's host, despite having considered his contract renewal closed just a few weeks ago, has publicly put him back in the shop window. The Catalan's words haven't gone unnoticed, as he harshly criticized Vinícius in the Club World Cup opener.

"Open market"

"The criticism isn't for Xabi Alonso. Ancelotti is trending topic because he's the face of Madrid, which hasn't improved in what we expected.  The criticism is for the players who keep doing nothing, for Vinícius still being on vacation. Xabi Alonso is asked to be the best on the first day, to have discipline, and to put anyone in their place if needed. We need to start putting in their place the players who are permanently on vacation. The market is open and even if you're very good... Vinícius or whoever, market August 30... Sell him! Sell them!" Josep Pedrerol clearly stated.

By saying this, Josep Pedrerol was clear and forceful, making it clear that he wouldn't mind seeing Vinícius Júnior leave Real Madrid. He didn't finish last season in the best possible way and, for now, he hasn't started the revamped Club World Cup well at all. There is anger with the Brazilian forward, who sometimes spends more time complaining or focusing on external factors than on the match itself.

Calm with Vinícius Júnior

Despite Josep Pedrerol's public complaints, Real Madrid are taking Vinícius Júnior's poor form calmly. The idea is still to renew his contract, something that would already be agreed upon for several weeks. He is one of the pillars of Xabi Alonso's project and nobody wants to let him go.

It's true that he needs to improve, but so do many of his teammates. Focusing criticism on Vinícius Júnior is unfair.  Everyone played poorly against Al-Hilal and, as expected, Xabi Alonso has a lot of work ahead. Rome wasn't built in a day, neither will the future champion of Europe.
