The 2025 holiday season will be exciting for travelers, thanks to the big news from American Airlines. The airline has announced new routes and more flights to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. This gives travelers an excellent opportunity for their vacations.
More flights to popular destinations
American Airlines has confirmed that it will expand its international flight network during the upcoming winter. From Chicago (ORD), travelers will be able to enjoy two new routes.
Starting October 26, the airline will offer daily service to Mexico City (MEX), a vibrant destination full of culture, gastronomy, and activities for all tastes. On December 18, it will begin daily service to Querétaro (QRO), known for its history and nearby vineyards.
These new options will allow travelers to enjoy the warmth of the Latin American climate and discover unique places with a rich and varied cultural offering.

Expansion from Philadelphia and Miami
Not only will Chicago see its connectivity expanded, but also Philadelphia (PHL) and Miami (MIA), two of American Airlines's most important hubs. From Philadelphia, the airline will begin a new daily service to Santo Domingo (SDQ), the capital of the Dominican Republic, starting December 18. Santo Domingo is a destination with a rich history and beautiful beaches, making it an excellent option for travelers looking to relax under the Caribbean sun.
Meanwhile, Miami will see a significant increase in its flights during the holiday season. From December 18 to January 5, American Airlines will offer more than 170 daily departures from Miami. These connections will take travelers to 73 destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
This expansion will keep Miami as the gateway to some of the world's most paradisiacal beaches.

More options to travel this winter
The new flights that American Airlines will offer also mean a significant increase in the number of seats available for travelers.
During the holiday season, the airline will offer more than 2.3 million seats, almost one million more than its closest competitor. This makes vacation planning easier and ensures that more people enjoy a winter in sunny and welcoming destinations.
The company remains the leading U.S. airline for flights to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America. With this expansion, American Airlines strengthens its commitment to offer more options and better routes to key destinations on the continent.
