Unexpected twist with Hansi Flick's favorite: Bayern and Dortmund fight for him

He arrived in 2023 as a major investment for Barça's future, but he has not performed as expected

Barcelona keeps planning its squad for next season. In order to make major signings, departures also have to happen, and some could be surprising. This is the case of Noah Darvich, known at Ciutat Esportiva as Hansi Flick's "favorite"; not only because they share nationality, Germans, but also because he has been following him closely for some time.

Bayern and Dortmund fight over Noah Darvich

"Mundo Deportivo" has surprised with its latest report. Noah Darvich hasn't had much of a run in Barça's reserve team since he arrived as a major prospect in 2023, and now he could leave. In recent hours, Dortmund has shown interest in the young German talent, entering a battle with Bayern Munich and other major Bundesliga teams.

A couple of years ago, only a €2.5 million investment was made for Darvich (2.5 million euros), and now recovering it or even making a profit is on the table. He hasn't managed to adapt to Barcelona, having so far had a more than disappointing stint in the lower categories of La Masia.

In this regard, Barça is clear that, if he leaves, it doesn't want to lose track of Noah Darvich. He has great talent and is seen as having enormous potential if he eventually breaks out. That's why, if he leaves, the idea is for him to be transferred, but with Barça retaining a percentage of his future sale and also having an affordable buy-back option.

Noah Darvich, a diamond in the rough who delights Hansi Flick

Noah Darvich could be living his last days as a Barcelona player. The young German attacking midfielder, just 18 years old (he'll turn 19 in September), hasn't managed to establish himself in Barça's reserve team and is seriously considering the option of returning to his home country this summer. His contract with Barça expires in 2026, but both the club and the player's camp are studying a move that would allow him to relaunch his career immediately.

He arrived with the label of a great German prospect, and although he has shown flashes of his quality, his performance at Barça Atlètic has been modest. This season he has played 25 matches in Primera Federación, but has only recorded 2 assists, without scoring any goals. These numbers are well below the expectations caused after his signing.

Darvich can play in several positions: attacking midfielder, right winger, or even as a central midfielder. His versatility is one of his strengths, but it hasn't been enough to convince either the coach or the technical staff. Bundesliga teams have already come knocking, and his return to Germany seems like a logical solution to regain confidence and playing time
