U-turn: Laporta's Good Fishing in Troubled Waters; New Lewandowski Costs €70M

Joan Laporta plans to take advantage of the drop in the price of the transfer clause of Swedish Viktor Gyökeres.

Barça is still recovering from its financial problems. However, they are positive that there's one position in the squad that needs to be strengthened: strikers. There are several names on the table but one has started to gain traction following the latest reports: Viktor Gyökeres. The 26-year-old Swede is clear that the time has come to leave Portugal. He hopes to join a top-level team, with Barça being one of his favorites.

Until now, it was publicly known that his release clause was 100 million euros; but this has changed. Gyökeres has reached an agreement with Sporting to be able to leave at the end of the current season in exchange for a figure of between 60 and 70 million euros.

Joan Laporta is expected to announce the renewal of his sponsorship contract with Nike in the coming days. From the moment of signing, Barça will earn around 90 million euros per season with the new agreement. In addition, he'll immediately pocket more than 100 million euros as a transfer bonus.

After seeing its collaboration agreement reaffirmed, Nike has decided to take a step forward in its relationship with Barça.

Nike has put on the table the possibility of helping to sign one of its stars. The name of Viktor Gyökeres, sponsored by the American brand, is a possibility that is being seriously considered.
