The CSD Gives the Green Light: Olmo and Pau Víctor Can Play the Super Cup Final

The CSD considered Barça's allegations, pardoned its two players and disavowed the Federation and LaLiga

The Higher Sports Council (CSD) will grant FC Barcelona the "cautelarísima" measure that the latter requested for its players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor.

This was announced by Manu Carreño on Cadena SER. The CSD has overruled the decisions of the Federation and La Liga. Barça will be able to re-register both players.

Barça Has Permission to Re-register Its Two Players

By granting the "cautelarísima," Barça has the possibility to re-register both players. However, it will have to wait for the CSD to release its ruling officially.

For now, what is certain is that neither will be able to play the semifinal against Athletic next Wednesday. However, in case of a victory, it is expected that the CSD will officially announce that Barça has the green light to use its players.

El Larguero has announced on this point that both could play the final if Barça manages to qualify. If Real Madrid is the opponent, it would add even more intrigue to the match.

Barça's Legally Irrefutable Allegations

The CSD doesn't guarantee that both players can play the rest of the season. It is simply a reply to FC Barcelona's allegations, presented with an irrefutable legal basis.

It is a 52-page document with 60 annexes full of arguments that was submitted by FC Barcelona last Tuesday.

From now on, the CSD's legal department has a period of up to three months to study the case and issue a final ruling. Meanwhile, both players can continue playing.

Barça hopes that the CSD will not issue its final ruling until the end of the season.

The CSD Overrules the Federation and LaLiga

The problem arises from the date of the allegations that Barça submitted on January 2. The blaugrana club knew that the deadline was December 31.

La Liga and the Federation didn't accept the registration of both players. The regulations state that two players can't be registered twice in the same team in the same season.

The CSD has understood otherwise and has granted the "cautelarísima" so that Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor can play.
