The Call That Could Change Xavi Hernández's Life: Leo Messi Waits for Him in Miami

Tata Martino leaves Inter Miami and Messi wants Xavi to replace him

The sabbatical year that Xavi Hernández had planned after his traumatic departure from Barça could be very short. A call from Leo Messi could change his life.

If footballer Xavi left Barça to play in Qatar, coach Xavi could find his next stop in Miami.

Tata Martino Quits

Inter's current manager Tata Martino has decided to end his time as manager of the Miami team for personal reasons. This was confirmed by journalist Tom Bogert and reported by COPE network in Spain.

The coaching position is vacant. Leo Messi has called Xavi Hernández to find out if he's willing to continue his career in Miami.

There he would meet Messi, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suárez . He could become the fifth culer in the Floridian city.

Xavi Hesitates

Messi told him the details about life in Miami and the particularities of his club. Xavi has asked for time; he has to think about it. He is not that convinced by the idea of training teammates who have already seen it all and now play in a minor league.

If Xavi rejects Inter Miami's offer made through Leo Messi, the North American club would opt for another  former Barcelona player: Javier Mascherano.

"El Jefecito" is currently the Argentine under-20 coach. He is nominated to succeed Lionel Scaloni as head of the senior team by the time there's a change of coach.

Since Joan Laporta invited him to leave Barça, Xavi Hernández has decided to rest and recharge his batteries for the future.

During his planned sabbatical year he has received offers from Qatar and also maintained contacts with Brazil about taking charge of their national team.

But nothing came out of it. Neither did the rumors that he would join Manchester United. Xavi doesn't want to take charge of any team until next season.

The journalist Roberto Gómez has pointed out his surprise in El Desmarque de Madrugada: "He kicked Sergio Busquets out of Barcelona, also Jordi Alba... What a disgrace."
