Surprise, Hansi Flick Doesn't Want Luis Díaz. Big News for Lamine Yamal: 'He Prefers...'

The coach of FC Barcelona has rejected the signing of Colombian Luis Díaz: he proposes another star

There has been much talk about the possible arrival of Luis Díaz at Barça, although it seems that this could have definitively fallen through. The main party interested in signing the Colombian has been, at all times, the sporting director Deco, who would have encountered an unexpected refusal: that of Hansi Flick. The German seems to have it clear: he doesn't fit into his vision for the club's future and has another priority for the position.

Hansi Flick Rules Out Luis Díaz: "He Prefers..."

At all times, what Hansi Flick has prioritized since his arrival at Barcelona is forming a young and very hungry project. Luis Díaz doesn't fit there, as he would turn 29 playing for the Catalan club.  The average age of the squad is 24.1 years, being the youngest in the entire League, and the idea is for it to remain so for as long as possible.

In the event that they opt to strengthen the wing, Hansi Flick has been firm with Deco, pointing to Nico Williams as his priority. At 22 years old, he fits perfectly into the plans he has for Barça's squad, having a great relationship with key first-team members. In attack, he would fit perfectly with his friend Lamine Yamal, while on the left he maintains a great relationship with Balde.

In this sense, Nico Williams would also be a cheaper signing than Luis Díaz. While Liverpool is asking for more than 70 million euros for their forward, the clause for the Athletic Club forward is 58 "kilos".

Nico Williams, Hansi Flick's Favorite

The interest in Nico Williams is evident. The player's relationship with Lamine Yamal and Balde, his ability to make a difference on the field, and his youth make him an attractive investment for the future. In any case, Barça is evaluating all its options and, if the situation allows, it is not ruled out that they will go for the winger's signing.

The problem is that not only Barça is interested in Nico Williams. The Premier League has been put on alert, with clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United probing his signing. In this sense, the Basque's priority would be to continue in Spain, with the culer club as his most attractive destination due to the great relationship he has with several squad members.
