Roony Bardghji warns, clear message about his future at Barça: 'I didn't come to...'

The young forward has been clear regarding his signing for FC Barcelona and his possible demotion to the 'B' team

Roony Bardghji became Barça's surprise signing this past summer. He arrived when no one expected it, with high ratings and a cost slightly above €2 million. Initially, the idea was for him to be registered with the reserve team, something LaLiga directly advised against. As days went by, his registration with the first team never materialized, which ultimately led to a surprise move.

Because, in the end, despite LaLiga's advice, Bardghji has been registered with Barça Atlètic and holds a reserve team contract. The idea is for him to be a regular member of the first team, usually wearing the '28' on his back. This has been proven with the lists drawn up in Spain and Europe, where the young Swedish international appears next to that number.

Clear message

Roony Bardghji himself has spoken in recent hours, in statements to "Expressen".

Bardghji has addressed this matter, stating: "Both the club and I knew what the plan was. From day one, the key has been to be in the first team. Of everything that's been said, none of it is true. It hasn't affected me."

In this regard, he concluded clearly: "I don't think I would've signed if it was to play in the youth team. I've played more than 100 matches in an A team and I wouldn't have agreed to go to a B team. That's something they've made up."

Waiting for the 1:1

The plan Barça has set in motion is clear. Register Roony Bardghji with a reserve team contract while waiting to return to the 1:1 rule and obtain the necessary space.

A guarantee has been in progress for some time and they're waiting for the final OK from the Spanish soccer employers' association. As soon as it arrives, the corresponding space can be used to make room for the newly arrived forward in the first team.

Because both Barça and Roony Bardghji have been clear at all times: he's coming to be in the first team. It's a strategic signing that will also serve to give Lamine Yamal some rest. There are high hopes for him and it's believed he has great potential ahead.

His contract with Copenhagen was set to end next December and what they've done is take advantage of the situation to secure a good, attractive, and cheap signing.
