Joan Laporta doesn't want to get any scares with Lamine Yamal. The new Messi of world soccer can't leave Barça, so he's begun to fix his continuity.
There's no reason to worry. At this stage of his life, the last thing Lamine Yamal is thinking about is listening to offers and leaving Barça.
He is very grateful for everything the club's done for him, both on a sporting and personal level. The possibility of leaving the club hasn't crossed his mind.
Lamine Yamal's Current Salary
But he won't stay at any price. Jorge Mendes is in charge of that and he expects the club to value him and consider him for what he is and what he represents on and off the field.
The first contacts with Jorge Mendes, his agent, took place after the Euro Cup, in which Lamine Yamal became a hero.
Today, Lamine Yamal has a gross annual salary of 1,670,000 euros (5,000 euros per day). Such an amount is increased by the bonuses he receives for winning titles and professional improvements.
The agreement with Jorge Mendes involves a thorough review of the player's registration in 2025. Lamine has a contract with Barcelona until 2026.
Lamine will Earn as Much as Haaland
By the time he turns 18, he'll be able to sign a fully-fledged professional contract, extending its duration until 2030 and maintaining the current 1-billion-euro buyout clause.
Laporta and Mendes have reached an agreement. Lamine Yamal's income will increase depending on his market value, as well as the titles he achieves and the salary ranking of the squad.
If Lamine keeps up with what's taken him to the top now, Joan Laporta promised that he'll be able to earn the same amount as the highest earner in the squad. "And if it's Haaland?" Jorge Mendes asked. "The same as Haaland," the president replied.
Lamine has always reassured Laporta: He has no interest in moving around the market to improve his contract. His dream was Barça and it still is.
