Real Madrid has filed a private complaint against Barça on the Negreira case. Joan Laporta has taken revenge in turn on Florentino Pérez with Slaughter's case.
Arrest Warrant for Slaughter
The courts, at the request of FC Barcelona, have today issued an arrest warrant against former Real Madrid basketball player Marcus Slaughter, according to RAC1.
The case of the passports illegitimately forged by Real Madrid so that Slaughter could play for their team seemed doomed to be stagnated. However, Joan Laporta's actions have reactivated it.
The case was reopened in January and the judge has announced the opening of an oral trial to clarify the facts at the request of FC Barcelona.
Barça has taken action as a private prosecutor, the same way Real Madrid has against Barça in the EnríquezNegreira's case.
Joan Laporta warned his friend Florentino Pérez that he could bring back the Slaughter case if he insisted on harming Barça with Negreira. Florentino didn't listen to him and now the consequences are coming.
The player himself admitted years ago before the judge that Real Madrid provided him with a fake passport.
And Barça hopes, once Real Madrid's alleged guilt has been confirmed, to claim the titles that Real Madrid fraudulently won in 2015 (Liga and Copa del Rey).
Laporta warned Florentino Pérez
Real Madrid played with Facundo Campazzo and Gustavo Ayón as non-EU players. It was the limit set by the ACB. Slaughter had no place and Real Madrid found a way to use him.
And he did so by providing him with an Equatorial Guinean passport, even though Slaughter was born in California. Slaughter thus played without occupying a non-EU player's place.
Barça felt aggrieved, but didn't lift a finger in court until Real Madrid appeared as a private prosecutor, as the affected party, in the Negreira case.
Laporta didn't forgive Florentino and the answer is already at court.
