Jota Jordi Says what Many Think, Surprise in Madrid: 'They are Taking too Long...'

'El Chiringuito' contributor doesn't want this LaLiga gameday to be played given the tragedy that occurred in Valencia

The recent tragedy in Valencia hasn't been enough for LaLiga to decide to suspend next weekend's matchday. The DANA, that has hit the Valencian Community and has ended with hundreds of people dead, hasn't been a compelling reason for Tebas to decide to postpone matchday 12.

Jota Jordi , a contributor to El Chiringuito, hasn't mince his words when talking about this issue. On his 'X' account, the Catalan has asked for the suspension of the twelfth round of LaLiga "out of respect and solidarity".

"It's taking them a while to suspend this LaLiga match out of respect and solidarity with the victims, missing people, their families, and all those people who have been left with nothing," wrote Jota Jordi.

This message, with the majority applauding him, has also ended with some criticism, especially from Madrid. Because, in a matter of hours, the Catalan has completely changed his mind. In the pre-match program on El Chiringuito, Jota Jordi wanted the match to take place normally.

It seems that Jota Jordi has changed his mind after receiving criticism through 'X' for his intention not to suspend the LaLiga matchday due to the DANA. The pressure and criticism received would've forced the collaborator of El Chiringuito to back down, surprising the capital of Spain with this rapid change of version.

LaLiga continues despite the DANA

The fact that there are hundreds of deaths doesn't seem to be a reason for La Liga president Javier Tebas to suspend the entire matchday. soccer is the most important of the least important things and should set an example in these kinds of moments.

Despite the tragedy that has shaken Valencia, the competition continues in Spain. In the First Division only two matches have been suspended: Villarreal-Rayo and Valencia- Madrid . The rest will be played as normal.

Among them, the match at Montjuïc between FC Barcelona and Espanyol will be played as normal. Barça will abide by any decision taken by LaLiga, which seems to be clear that the matchday will continue as normal in Spain.

Jota Jordi is clear: the competition should be suspended next weekend, it makes no sense at all.
