Iturralde Stops Tomás Roncero: 'you're Lying. Respect Those Who Aren't...'

Tomás Roncero claims that the referee favored Barça in Las Palmas because Madrid fans have told him so.

Former referee Iturralde González stopped Tomás Roncero in his tracks on El Larguero, directly accusing him of lying.

He told him this while the play that Roncero was complaining about was being replayed. In it, he claimed that the referee favored Barça against Las Palmas.

Roncero Refuses to See the Obvious. His Feelings Prevent Him

In it, you could see Sandro pushing and hitting Balde's ankle before he replied with a stomp.

With such a weak basis, Tomás Roncero tried to convince the audience that the referee had favored Barça in that play.

Faced with the evidence defended by Iturralde, there was a prior foul, Roncero defended himself by saying he doesn't lie to anyone, and that this is what Real Madrid's fans tell him.

Finally, he tried to get out of the mess by assuring that these are his feelings and that feelings never lie. Roncero made it clear that his objectivity as an informant is based on his... Madridist feelings.

And of course, lacking other arguments, Roncero resorted to Negreira, the wildcard he uses to get out of any predicament.

This was the controversial exchange of blows between Tomás Roncero and Iturralde González.

"Roncero, Don't Deceive the People"

Tomás Roncero: "The people are much more irritated by the Barcelona-Rayo and by yesterday's plays with Real Madrid. The people with Real Madrid are kind of resigned."

Manu Carreño intervenes: "But if in the Madrid play there was an offside..."

Tomás Roncero: "But that's not it. There was a stomp by Balde against Las Palmas..."

And Iturralde jumps in: "Balde's stomp is preceded by a foul by the Las Palmas player. Say it all."

Roncero responds: "I'm telling you that it's what the people saw..."

Iturralde: "No, no, but don't deceive the people.Say it all: the stomp is preceded by a push from Sandro..."

Roncero: "Don't disrespect Real Madrid's fans. Do you know why I don't deceive the people? Because they tell me themselves."

"Respect the Fans Who Aren't Real Madrid's"

Iturralde: "You're deceiving, because you're not talking about the previous foul."

Roncero: "Have respect for Real Madrid's fans."

Iturralde: "Respect the other fans who aren't Real Madrid's. I'm not going to listen to someone who lies."

Roncero: "I'm nobody, and Madrid's people have their own identity."

Iturralde: "You're lying about the stomp."

Tomás Roncero: 10 as a Radical Madridist, Failing in Journalistic Ethics

Roncero: "I never lie. I say what Real Madrid's fans feel. And feelings never lie...

...People are fed up with Madrid being whistled one way and others another. And since Negreira is around, it will get worse."

Iturralde: "You're lying. And you're lying in your tweets too."

Roncero: "I don't lie, I say what I think and what I feel."

A 10 for Tomás Roncero as a radical Madridist. The ethical-journalistic exam, however, is difficult to pass when evidence is not accepted. But feelings don't lie, that's for sure.
