Fabrizio Romano Uncovers the Truth. Official: Vitor Roque Already Has a New Destination

The exclusive advanced by MB is confirmed. Neither Barça nor Betis, Vitor Roque's future is in Brazil.

Madrid-Barcelona.com reported it exclusively on February 21. Vitor Roque's destination was neither Barça nor Betis. He had already closed it with Palmeiras back then.

Today Fabrizio Romano, the international transfer specialist, confirms what was reported by this page. Vitor Roque's immediate future is in his country, specifically with Palmeiras.

Vitor Roque Will Be the New Endrick of Palmeiras

Curiously, the club that sold Endrick to Real Madrid is now acquiring the services of the former blaugrana to take his place.

Fabrizio Romano reports that "Palmeiras is advancing in negotiations to finalize the transfer of Vitor Roque.

The agreement with Barcelona has been closed for 25 million euros plus a 20% resale clause.

But there is still work to be done at Betis, as the loan includes a purchase option and Betis has the final say".

The 5 Million Lost by Barça Are 20% of Its Rights

In this entire operation, Barça will have lost 5 of the 30 million advanced in the operation. The remaining 30 were based on variables that will never be met.

Meanwhile, Betis has little to say. Its economic situation doesn't allow it to match Palmeiras's offer for a player who has been losing steam and is no longer a starter.

Barça will receive 25 million in the operation and will retain 20% of its rights in case of a future transfer.  The 5 million difference  between what Barça paid and what it now receives is the 20% that Barça keeps.

MB already reported that, although Betis can't match the 25 million offered by Palmeiras, it wouldn't make it easy for his departure. It should not be forgotten that Vitor Roque is on loan with a purchase option until the end of the season.

Betis Tries to Scrape 2 Million

The Andalusian club is trying to gain some financial benefit from the situation and is asking for an amount close to 2 million euros. Palmeiras is not willing to take on an additional cost, and Barça will not yield either.

If Betis wants Vitor Roque, it will have to match the 25 million that Palmeiras is paying. Otherwise, it will lose its player, although it could retain him until the end of the season, something that wouldn't please Palmeiras, which wants him now.

Vitor Roque's move to Brazil will lighten Betis's wage bill for a player whom the coach no longer counts on. The transfer agreement will be made official in a matter of hours.
