Hansi Flick Decides: One Transfer and Two Departures at Barça with Laporta's Approval

FC Barcelona has a very advanced transfer deal that will lead to the sale of two players from the team

Hansi Flick has been asking for it since his arrival and Laporta is going to grant his wish. 2025 will come with a transfer virtually closed for Barça:  Jonathan Tah, center-back from Leverkusen. His contract ends next June 30 and the negotiations for his arrival are on track. So much so that the planning for the next season is being done counting on the German center-back.

The intention is to have Tah's arrival secured by January 1, when he can freely sign with any team. The German's arrival at FC Barcelona will mean changes in the team, especially in the center of defense. Hansi Flick has been clear and, being able to count on his compatriot, has requested the departure of two center-backs currently in the team.

Jonathan Tah's profile will open up many options in the team, allowing them to get rid of two players who are by no means important to Hansi Flick. We're talking about Christensen and Eric García, whose contracts end in 2026. The idea is to get a good sum of money in a transfer. It seems both are willing to leave, but setting conditions to choose their next team.

Jonathan Tah: His Transfer Will Cause Two Departures at Barça

At FC Barcelona, they consider Jonathan Tah a real bargain and the plan is clear: signing him for free to be able to sell. Christensen and Eric's futures seem to be heading to the Premier League. Their departures would help the Catalonian team get money to tackle other operations. The defense needs significant changes and, with the German, several birds would be killed with one stone without spending much money.

Laporta is working on the planning for next season and has given his green light to Hansi Flick to make the changes he so desires. Jonathan Tah will arrive at Barça at 29 years old, signing a contract for the next five seasons, with options for renewal based on matches played or injuries.

In any case, the plan is clear and both Hansi Flick and Laporta are in sync. In 2025, Barça counts on the cost-free arrival of Jonathan Tah, while the idea is to get rid of Christensen and Eric García via transfer. Everything is underway and is expected to be closed in the coming months at the culer team.
